The Economic Development Council of Collier County, FL (EDC) is an economic development organization dedicated to
improving the quality of life of all people in Collier County by promoting economic development initiatives, which
will diversify the local economy, create high-wage, value-added jobs, increase the average wage, facilitate capital
formation, preserve and enhance the natural environment, and enable all county residents to have a meaningful
opportunity for upward mobility.
Challenge: Manage Workforce, Information and Membership
The Economic Development Council of Collier County, FL determined that it needed a means to support and manage its
mobile workforce, membership and contact management system to allow for the dissemination of information through
online web pages, knowledge base and automated electronic newsletter, as well as provide an extranet for their members
to distribute business news releases and event information. By selecting Internet Office they were able to meet this goal and more.
Solution: IOS On Demand SaaS
Internet Office built the EDC web page to specifications and subscribed them to the Internet Office Suite (IOS) On
Demand SaaS to allow them to manage large amounts of information, maintain CRM’s, auto fulfill requests for information
and manage memberships. The system also allows them to post, register, print name tags, and receive payments for their
events, publish their news and newsletter as well as allow members to self publish their news to the community at large
as well as maintain large volumes of member communication associated to the groups the members are involved in and the
EDC communiqué at large through email, mail and documents, printing labels and maintaining the communications with each
member contact for easy reference automatically. The site has grown from a small static site to well over 400 dynamic
pages and is seen as an invaluable tool by its staff, the membership at large and the community.

manage memberships, groups (including our Member run Advisory Boards), intranet functions and file dependencies, but
the logic and the software works flawlessly and is extremely easy to use. We now use IOS to manage our Intranet,
Contacts, Members, New Members Sales and CRMs in a central location without requiring additional hardware, networking
and software. In addition to those critical functions, we have been given a bonus as we have gained an entire Knowledge
Base of Information that we have gathered through our Members and the State, which we now manage and publish to our site
and through our newsletter. The flexibility and robust nature of the IOS Suite of products has been amazing for us as we
are able to utilize our site, the intranet and our extranet to build and manage our newsletter, manage, register and
charge for events and easily disseminate new information to our member groups at the touch of a button,” says EDC President Tammy Nemecek.

The EDC has taken the burden of managing their membership, CRM, Events, Contacts, Scheduling and so much more off of their
plate. They have come to rely on IOS to handle the automation of their internal environment and their marketing. Many processes
